Sorell Council

Sorell is located in the southeast of the island approximately 22 km east of the city center of the capital Hobart. The area includes 20 districts and towns: Boomer Bay, Bream Creek, Carlton, Connellys Marsh, Copping, Dodges Ferry, Dunalley, Forcett, Kellevie, Lewisham, Marion Bay, Midway Point, Penna, Primrose Sands, Nugent, Orielton, Pawleena, Sorell, Wattle Hill and White Hills. The headquarters of the Council is located in the town of Sorell in the west of the LGA, where about 1500 inhabitants.
Management
The Sorell Council has nine members. The Mayor ( Mayor ), his deputy ( deputies) and Councillor seven are elected directly by the residents of the LGA. Sorell is not divided into districts.
