Sornzig-Ablaß

Sornzig drain was an administrative community free municipality in the district of North Saxony Free State of Saxony. It was formed on 1 January 1994 from the merger of the municipalities Sornzig and drain and incorporated on January 1, 2011 in the city Mügeln.

Last mayor prior to the incorporation was Volkmar Winkler ( SPD).

Geography and transport

The territory lay south of the mountain at the Collm Döllnitz, which rises in the district Querbitzsch. The community adjacent to the large district were Oschatz (15 km), Mügeln ( 4 km), chub (15 km) and Grimsby (20 miles). South of the former municipal area runs the A 14 to the terminal points Leisnig and Mutzschen.

History

Sornzig

In 1241 a Sifridus de Mugelin founded the nunnery of the Benedictine Order in Marienthal Sornzig. The place Sornzig one of which located in the village of Marienthal convent. The monastery and the place Sornzig with its convent land belonged after the secularization of the monastery from 1540 to 1570 to the Office of Education Meissen. 1570 replaced the Saxon Elector, the area with the Meissner Bishop John IX. Haug joke. Sornzig and surrounding places have been left up to the abdication of the bishop in 1581 in its possession, and came in 1584 under the administration of the Collegiate sausages, which the Office Sornzig formed from the area. Sornzig remained until 1818 under the administration of the post office sausages, the place then belonged until 1856 to the Official Mügeln with Sornzig. After the dissolution of the Office, the court office Mügeln took over the administration. From 1875 onwards Sornzig belonged to Amtshauptmannschaft Oschatz. 1952, the town was briefly assigned to the circle chub, but came in the same year to the circle Oschatz, which rose in the district Torgau- Oschatz 1994. Since 2008 Sornzig belongs to the district of North Saxony.

Districts of Sornzig were light oak (1797 on Sornziger reason emerged ), Zävertitz (1973 amalgamated ) and Baderitz (1974 amalgamated ).

Drainage

The town dump was until 1856 part of the Official Colditz and to the Official Mutzschen. After the dissolution of the court offices Office Wermsdorf took over the administration. From 1875 onwards indulgences belonged to Amtshauptmannschaft Oschatz. 1952, the site was assigned to the circle Oschatz, which in 1994 was to become the district Torgau- Oschatz. Since 2008 belongs to the district drain Nordsachsen.

Districts of indulgences were Zschannewitz (1936 amalgamated ), Grauschwitz and Querbitzsch (1973 amalgamated ). 1993 discharge merged with glosses and Kemmlitz the new community indulgences, which in 1994 merged with the municipality Sornzig the new community Sornzig drain.
