Soul Food (Film)

Soul food is an American drama about an African American family directed by George Tillman, Jr. from the year 1997., Starring Vanessa L. Williams, Vivica A. Fox and Nia Long. The film tells the story of the family from the perspective of the young Ahmad, who tries to make the family tradition of "Soul Foods " after the death of his grandmother back to life despite the family feud.

Action

The Sunday dinner, "Soul Food ," is a long 40 -year tradition in the family of the young Ahmad, whose grandmother makes at least at the table for a certain harmony in the family. Ahmad's mother Maxine otherwise carries out their differences with Ahmad's aunts Teri and Bird. The illness and death of his grandmother leaves the long- simmering conflict between the sisters escalate into a strong force that threatens to break up the family. Ahmad reflects on the soul -food tradition of his grandmother and finally managed the family again with love and laughter to reconcile at the table.
