Space Channel 5: Part 2

Space Channel 5 is a series of music video games, developed by United Game Artists under the direction of Tetsuya Mizuguchi and published by Sega. The game principle is the fact that the player must copy sequences of dance steps shown by the game.

Space Channel 5

Space Channel 5 first appeared in Japan for the Dreamcast console on 16 December 1999. Later, it appeared in the U.S. on June 6, 2000 and in Europe on 8 October 2000. The game received a budget release in Japan on 21 December 2000 in a simpler package. 2002 Space Channel 5 was ported to the PlayStation 2. It was released in Europe on 15 March 2002 and in Japan on December 12, 2002. In the U.S. it appeared on 18 November 2003 as Space Channel 5 Special Edition.

Space Channel 5: Part 2

Space Channel 5: Part 2 was released in Japan on 14 February 2002 for both the Dreamcast and for the PlayStation 2, PS2 version was released in Europe on 12 February 2003, and in the U.S. as part of a Special Edition together with the first part on 18 November 2003. In Japan, a Space Channel 5 Part 2 Limited Edition appeared with a carrying case and big headphones.

The point system was a departure from the first game. Steps could now be charged by holding down a button, also instrumental Battles were introduced, which are disputed with the directional pad.
