Spackling paste

Putty, filler and short, is a paste-like substance that is used for superficial repair work applied with a spatula and ground smooth after curing. It is used in the model, the body shop, the drywall and plastering beings.

Features

In order to counter any shrinkage during drying or curing, the filler is usually applied liberally and later sanded eg with sandpaper. This subsequent processing is not required, for example, similar materials for the plaster or mortar.

Commonly used fillers that are available in powder form and mixed with water to the actual mass ( eg gypsum ). Wood filler and wood paste are special fillers for wood.

Component filler

But even finish up mixed fillers are available that must be partially provided for drying with an initiator. These are called component filler, usually "2- component filler ", because they are composed of several components.
