Spagna
Spagna ( born December 16, 1956 in Valeggio sul Mincio; actually Ivana Spagna) is an Italian pop singer and songwriter. With about 10 million albums sold worldwide she is considered one of the most successful artists of their country.
Biography
Her career began Spagna mid-1980s, with English pop songs. Coinciding with her debut single Easy Lady 1987 she managed a Europe-wide hit. A year later, she landed with the single Call Me their biggest hit. With him, she reached the top of Euro Chart Hot 100 in the United Kingdom it peaked at # 2 - still the highest placing was ever achieved by an Italian singer - and got even in the United States space 13 of the dance charts of Billboard magazine. From her published in the same year debut album Dedicated To The Moon 500,000 copies have been sold worldwide.
Following the publication of a dance-rock album and a minor hit in the UK, titled Every Girl and Boy Spagna moved to the record company Sony Music, moved to the U.S. and settled in Santa Monica. There they produced their third album, No Way Out, with whom she again turned to the more disco pop. After the release of a greatest-hits album, she returned in 1993 back to Europe. That same year, she recorded the album with the highly critically acclaimed album Matter Of Time. Your last European hit she landed in 1995 with Lady Madonna.
