Sperafico

Sperafico is the surname of a family of Brazilian racing driver from Toledo. A total of ten drivers in the family competed to race. To international fame came four drivers in the family.

The twins Ricardo and Rodrigo Sperafico (* 1979 ) were the most successful drivers in the family. Ricardo ran from 2001 to 2003 in the International Formula 3000 Championship. He won three races and achieved in 2003 by winning the runner-up the greatest success of the family. His twin brother Rodrigo drove in 2001 and 2002 as well as in the International Formula 3000 Championship and won a race. Her cousin Alexandre Sperafico ( b. 1974 ) made ​​it also in the international Formula 3000 championship, but could not in this series, nor in the Champ Car series, in which he subsequently participated in several races, draw attention to themselves. Another prominent member of the family was Rafael Sperafico (1981-2007), another cousin of Ricardo and Rodrigo Sperafico. However, he never made ​​the leap into the international Formula 3000 Championship and drove 2003 in Euro Formula 3000. In 2007, he was killed in a race of Light Class of Stock Car Brasil in Interlagos.
