Criticism and reception

  • Detlev Kinsler, HiFi review: Hardly a second group is at the moment so consistently marketed as the British Spice Girls. No work of art, but a tough -calculated product. So not worthy to be taken into account in a serious critique? Yes, yes. Because " Spice World" offers well-crafted pop music that omits hardly a traditional and current style and sound: Tamla Motown times, sometimes radio, here greets the Sugar Loaf, as Philadelphia. Contemporary Rhythm & Blues, Ballad and girlie anthems complete the offer down from a lyrically witty BigBand number. Good, professional entertainment and positive vibrations tired. The Spice Girls are grown up, but have not lost their charm. Well-made pop music that comes charming despite emphasis on made
