Sport TV

Sport TV is a Portuguese cable channel, the first so-called conditional access channel in Portugal, whose program focuses on the national and international sport. It was founded on 16 September 1998 and is produced by Sport TV Portugal, a joint venture between ZON Conteúdos, the holding company of ZON Multimédia and Controlinveste Media.

Following the success of the cable TV station TV2 Sport (8 June 2006), Sport TV3 ( 1 June 2008), Sport and Sport TV HD Golf (22 January 2010) have been introduced in the meantime.

Sports TV also owns the rights to broadcast all games at the European level - the Champions League, Europa League, Copa Libertadores, Copa America, European Championship, World Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.

In terms of other sports Sports TV transmits the most important national and international competitions.
