S&T Motors
Hyosung S & T Motors is a South Korean motorcycle manufacturer and part of the S & T Motors Co., Ltd. Group. In 2007, S & T Motors Co., Ltd.. the Hyosung Motors & Machinery Inc.. Motorcycles Hyosung are now sold under the name Hyosung S & T Motors. The main business of the S & T Group is the manufacture of heat exchangers, automotive parts, accessories for motor vehicles, as well as various products for the defense industry. Other products include axles, drives, gears, machine tools and castings.
The Company
Hyosung S & T Motors serves about 40 percent of the market in its home country and exporting to over 60 countries of the biggest exporter of motorcycles in South Korea. Approximately 500 employees make a year ago about 50,000 motorcycles. Every day you can roll off the line up to 300 two-wheelers. In Europe, the markets in Germany, France and Spain are mainly supplied. Approximately 6,000 two-wheelers go to Spain every year, about half after Germany and France imported about 3,500. In addition to Asia, the USA and Australia are other major exporting countries.
The company was founded in 1978 and went a year later a cooperation with a Suzuki. Part of this was the production of 125cc motorcycles and smaller ATVs that Suzuki sold in the Japanese market. Hyosung manufactures all motors themselves and places great emphasis on research and development. Here are employs approximately 90 people. Since 1982, two-wheelers are exported. Hyosung talks with its entire model range at the price-conscious and brand- neutral buyer. The success shows many parallels to the Korean automobile manufacturers. These operate their production facilities also in the largest manufacturing region of South Korea. After Honda and Yamaha Hyosung took third place in the registration statistics 2007 for the 125 cc class.
The model range of Hyosung is very diverse. It offered 50 cc scooters, ATVs and motorcycles with 125 cc, 250 cc and 650 cc. As of 2010, a 700 cc motorcycle to expand the model range above. Especially in the light motorcycles Hyosung covers from the cruiser to an athlete everything.
