Choir fresco

Dedication of the Church by Pastor Lingg to Mary, Elizabeth and Lawrence The main fresco of the choir (1734 ) by Christoph Thomas Scheffler shows how pastors Lingg midst of the congregation, the model of his village church of the Mother of God and the two church cartridges, St. Lawrence ( the rust) and St. Elisabeth ( with bread and jug ) offereth. Maria and the two patron saints, the church in turn recommend the care of the Holy Trinity. On the model of the church the arms of the Augsburg patrician family Langenmantel can be seen.

The Trinity representation (Trinity) is remarkable. In the middle of God the Father enthroned over his chest hovers the Holy Spirit dove and before that Jesus Christ is in the form of a host ( body of Christ ) currently ( Ekklesia thought).

High altarpiece

The high altar painting by Christoph Thomas Scheffler is how the choir fresco of three levels. At the bottom of the representatives of the earthly church, begging and imploring God's people are ( represented by a family). The center of the image is dominated by representatives of the Church in heaven: the St. Lawrence with the grate and the Order of Saint Elizabeth in the Habit of a Franciscan Tertiarin that renounces her earthly crown, and is dedicated to the poor.

The top of the picture of a globe perched Most Holy Trinity - the right of God the Father, with the scepter down, pointing to the ground, left God the Son with the salvation sign the cross in his right hand, with the left hand on the ground pointing and pleading, looking at his father. In the middle, somewhat elevated the Holy Spirit depicted as a man with bright white hair and beard, the head surrounded by seven tongues of fire ( the gifts of the Holy Spirit ) and chest the dove of the Holy Spirit. He puts his hands to the Father and the son on the shoulder. About the throne of the Trinity is the sign of unity: the triangle with the Hebrew name of God "Yahweh". - Bemerkernswert is that Jesus is not sitting at the right hand of the Father ( cf. Heb 1:3 EU, EU Acts 7.55 ), but at the right hand of the Holy Spirit.
