Stabburet

Stabburet AS is a leading Norwegian food manufacturer. The company was founded in 1943 by Gunnar Nilsen. Today stabburet is part of Orkla Foods Nordic group of companies. Stabburet operates eight production facilities in southern Norway, to the company headquarters in Trollåsen. Plants are located in Fredrikstad, Brumundal, Stranda, Ualand, Oslo, Vigrestad, Rygge and Skien. The name stabburet is derived from the word storehouse. Storehouse is the name for an old Norwegian food and grain storage.

Stabburet is a manufacturer of ready meals, frozen pizzas, sauces, pies, beverages, spreads and sweets. The products are marketed under the brand names stabburet, Doctors Cave, Big One, boss, Nora, Nugatti, and Fun Light.

The company achieved in 2009 a turnover of 2,973 million NOK and had approximately 1,000 employees.
