The Stadio Ciro Vigorito is a football stadium in the Italian city of Benevento. It was completed in 1979 and can accommodate 19,000 spectators. The local club Benevento Calcio plays its home games from here. Until November 2, 2010, the stadium was named Stadio Santa Colomba.
The Stadio Ciro Vigorito in Benevento was opened, as the local club just had its heyday. Benevento Calcio was then a member of the Series B just before the promotion to Serie A, whereupon the Board, of course, a new, larger stadium planned. But soon the good times in Benevento were over again and the club sank into insignificance. The first game in the new stadium took place in 1979 between Benevento Calcio and Juventus instead.
