The Stadionul Tineretului is a football stadium in the Romanian town of Urziceni in the Bărăgan - steppe. It has a seating capacity for 7,000 spectators and served the club Unirea Urziceni as the venue for their home games.

History

The Stadionul Tineretului was built in 1976. Since then it was used until 2011 by the club Unirea Urziceni as homestead. The club won yet again, the Romanian Cup (2008/ 09). For this reason, we took part in the following season 's UEFA Champions League. There they met the VfB Stuttgart from Germany, the Sevilla FC of Spain and the Glasgow Rangers of Scotland, so it was not possible Urziceni of reaching the knockout stages. By the achieved third place they played in the Europa League, where they failed in the round of 16 teams at Liverpool. 2011 Unirea Urziceni was disbanded due to financial problems, so currently plays no sports club in Stadionul Tineretului.
