Stanislav Balán

Stanislav Balán ( born January 30, 1986 in Hodonín, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech ice hockey player, who was last until January 2012 when HC Lev Poprad in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Stanislav Balán began his career as a hockey player in the junior section of the HC Zlín, for the first team, he made his debut in the Czech Extraliga during the season 2003/ 04. In four games, while he scored a goal. He was then in the seventh round as a total 209 players selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2004 by the Nashville Predators for which, however, he never played. Instead, the center ran in the 2004/05 season continues for the U20 Juniors of HC Zlín and in five games as Players out on loan for the team of his hometown, the SHK Hodonín, in the second league, the third Czech league on. The 2005/06 season finally spent the former youth international with the Portland Winter Hawks in the Canadian junior Western Hockey League.

From 2006 to 2011 Balán played again for the HC Zlín in the Extraliga, where he in the first second-rate league was between 2006 and 2009 in parallel in a total of twelve games as Players out on loan for the SK Slavia Horacka Třebíč HC Dukla Jihlava and on the ice. For the 2011/12 season, the Czech was obliged by HC Lev Poprad from the Kontinental Hockey League. For the team, he scored 16 games each a goal and an assist in the KHL. He also came in seven games to seven points scorer, three gates, for Lev's farm team HK Poprad of the Slovak Extraliga. In January 2012, his contract was terminated prematurely.

Internationally

For Balán Czech Republic took part in the U18 World Youth Championship 2004, where he won the bronze medal with his team.
