Starye Atagi

Starye Atagi (Russian Старые Атаги; Chechen Йоккха - Атаг ӏ а ) is a village ( selo ) with 10,884 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ) in the Russian republic of Chechnya in the North Caucasus Federal District. The village is located about 20 kilometers from Grozny away, on the west bank of the river Argun, on the other side there is Novye Atagi.

The place was from 1944 to 1957 the name Predgornoje.
