Stefan Lovgren ( born December 21, 1970 in Partille ) is a former Swedish handball player. He played on the position back center of the room with THW Kiel.
Career
Lovgren began seven years playing handball at the Swedish club Skepplanda BTK and joined in 1990 Redbergslids IK Gothenburg. In 1998, the right-handed joined the German Bundesliga TV Niederwürzbach. In 1999 he qualified businessman in office communication played in the league rivals THW Kiel, for which he was active until 2009. In Kiel Lovgren was between 2001 and 2009, the team captain and was named honorary captain after his career end there. His international debut was Lovgren on 23 October 1993 in the European Championship qualifiers. Until his resignation from the Swedish national team, which he announced on 31 July 2006, he completed 268 international matches in which he threw in 1138 gates. He was from 2001 to 2006 Team Captain of the Three Crowns teams.
After his career, he is a sports school in Uddevalla from the young and working in a sports agency founded by Martin Schmidt. He is also active as an ambassador for the EHF. In addition, he occasionally commented Bundesliga games for the Swedish television channel TV4.
Private
From his marriage with Ann -Sophie Claesson a son and a daughter have emerged.
