Stefan Siczek
Stefan Siczek ( born September 20, 1937 in Siczki; † July 31, 2012 in Radom ) was a Roman Catholic priest and canon lawyer and Auxiliary Bishop of Radom.
Life
Stefan Siczek visited the little mission seminary in Krakow. After graduating from secondary school in Radom in 1955, he entered the seminary in Sandomierz, and completed his theological and philosophical training. The Bishop of Sandomierz Jan Kanty Lorek CM, donated to him on 27 May 1961 in Sandomierz ordination. He was from 1961 to 1963 chaplain in St. Paul in Sandomierz and graduated in 1963 at the Catholic University of Lublin, a church law doctoral studies and in 1967 a doctorate in law ( iur. can. ) Doctorate. He was a chaplain in Sucha (1967 /69) and in Ćmielów (1969 /72).
In Warsaw he completed a postgraduate course in 1973. From 1972 to 1986 he was a lecturer and spiritual director at the seminary in Sandomierz. From 1986 to 1992 he was a chaplain at the General House of the Virgin Mary maids in Mariówka. He also worked as a lecturer at the Seminary in Radom and the Institute of Theology of Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw -.
Pope John Paul II appointed him on 25 March 1992 as Titular Bishop of Dagnum and auxiliary bishop in the Diocese of Radom. The archbishop of Warsaw, Cardinal Jozef Glemp, consecrated him on 11 April of the same year to the bishop; Co-consecrators were Stanisław Nowak, Archbishop of Częstochowa, and Edward Henryk Materski, Bishop of Radom. His motto is Vivere Gospel ( Living the Gospel ).
He was vicar general and dean of the chapter of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Ostra Brama in Skarżysko -Kamienna ( Sanctuary of Mother Bożej Ostrobramskiej w Skarżysku - Kamiennej ).
After the death of Bishop Jan Chrapek on 18 October 2001, he was appointed Diocesan Administrator. This office was transferred to him again after Bishop Zygmunt Zimowski was appointed President of the Pontifical Council for Pastoral Assistance to Health Care on April 18, 2009.
In 2011 he was made an honorary citizen of his home town Jedlnia - Letnisko.
