Stefan Stepanov

Stefan Sergeevich Stepanov (Russian Стефан Сергеевич Степанов; * September 23, 1992 in Yekaterinburg ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is, and since July 2013 in Atlant Mytischtschi in the Kontinental Hockey League under the contract for their Framteam, the HK Buran Voronezh, in Wysschaja Hockey League play.

Career

Stefan Stepanov began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of the PHK Krylia Sovetov Moscow, for its first team he made his debut in the Wysschaja League, the second Russian league was in the 2008 /09 season. He remained no points in eight games and received ten penalty minutes. For the following season the defender the Sudbury Wolves followed, for in seven games he prepared a gate in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League. For the season 2010/11 he returned to Russia, where he received a contract with HK CSKA Moscow from the Kontinental Hockey League. In his debut season in the KHL, he prepared in seven games before two goals. Mainly, however, he came in the multinational junior league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja League ( MHL ) for the junior team Krasnaya Armia Moscow used. With the team he won at the end of the season the Kharlamov Cup, the championship of the MHL.

For the 2011/12 season Stepanov was committed by the KHL participants Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg and completed for this until February 2013 44 KHL games. In parallel, he was employed at Awto Yekaterinburg in the MHL and Burewestnik Yekaterinburg in the Perwaja league. In February 2013 Stepanov received an AHL contract by the Albany Devils, but for which he completed only one game.

Internationally

For Russia Stepanov took part in the Under-18 Junior World Cup in 2010.
