Steffen Büttner

Steffen Büttner ( born November 2, 1963) is a former German football player.

Büttner came as a 14- year-old to the DDR Oberliga side Dynamo Dresden. In 1984 he became a member of the league squad. There, the defender was initially in the second term behind Andreas Trautmann, Hans -Jürgen Dörner, Udo jewelry and Matthias Döschner and came at first only sporadically inserts. At the end of his first season he was in June 1985 with Dynamo against BFC Dynamo in the final of the fdgb Cup which decided the Dresden 3-2 for itself. In his first Bundesliga season Büttner was no longer on the role of a substitute player also. Of his 16 missions he played just six over the full 90 minutes. Finally, he joined in the summer of 1992 to third-rate 1 FC Union Berlin, with whom he consecutively master of Oberliga Nordost was twice, but in each case because of the lack of economic performance of the club missed the promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. After Union Berlin had qualified in the summer of 1994 for the newly created Regional, Büttner returned to Dresden and joined the fourth division of Dresdner SC. After his promotion to the Regionalliga, he joined in the summer of 1998 to the district division 06 FV Dresden- Laubegast, where he end his career.
