The Steinfurter Aa is about 46 km long tributary of the Vecht in North Rhine -Westphalia, Germany. The above-ground catchment area covers more than 204 km ².
Course
The source of Steinfurter Aa is located about 21 kilometers west of Münster in Billerbeck Beerlage to about 125 m in the northern foothills of the mountains tree. From there, it flows first few kilometers to the east and then north. At Steinfurt- Borghorst it flows west past, then traverses Steinfurt- Burgsteinfurt and reached a little later betting rings. In Wettringer municipal area of the river is already broad and obvious. Only about 5 km further north, in the peasantry Bilk, opens Steinfurter Aa with a water flow of more than 2.1 m³ / s in the hardly equal Vecht.
