Stelvio Massi
Stelvio Massi ( born March 26, 1929 in Civitanova Marche, † March 26, 2004 in Velletri ) was an Italian cinematographer and film director.
Life
Massi was from 1952 Camera Wizard with his uncle, Carmelo Petralia and has been 10 years later director of photography on numerous genre films, first with Ettore M. Fizzarotti, later, among others, Tonino Valerii and Sergio Martino for. In the early 1970s he moved to the director's chair and made himself as a director stressed police action films a name. Frequently he worked there with the actors Maurizio Merli and Tomas Milián.
Massi died on his 75th birthday. As a director he sometimes called himself Max Steel, as a cinematographer Stefano Catalano. His son, Danilo is also active in the film business.
