Michele Lupo

Michele Lupo ( born December 4, 1932 in Corleone, † 27 June 1989 ) was an Italian film director.

Life

Lupo began his career in the film business as an assistant editor and quickly received offers as an assistant director, in which capacity he frequently collaborated with Camillo Mastrocinque.

He made his debut in 1962 as a director and turned first predominantly sandals films and later spaghetti westerns. In the late 1970s he was primarily known for comedies with lead actor Bud Spencer. His genre films are characterized by optical ingenuity and clever screenplays.
