Stephen Noteboom

Stephen Noteboom ( born July 31, 1969 in Geldrop, Noord-Brabant ) is a former Dutch tennis player.

Life

Noteboom began at the age of six years with the sport of tennis. Between 1987 and 1991 he attended Florida State University, in the following year he became a professional tennis player. In 1993, he won two doubles titles on the ATP Challenger Tour. Together with his fellow countryman Fernon Wibier 1994 he received a wild card for the ATP tournament in Rosmalen, which they could win unexpectedly. His second and final ATP doubles title he won in Munich in 1996. On the ATP Challenger Tour he also won seven doubles titles during his career. Its highest listing in the tennis world ranking he reached in 1993 with position 333 in single and in 1997 with position 52 in doubles.

In the individual he was never able to qualify for a Grand Slam tournament. In the doubles competition, he stood each in the third round of the Australian Open, the French Open and Wimbledon. In 1995, he was also in the second round of the mixed competition of Wimbledon.
