Stephen Stanislaus Woznicki

Stephen Stanislaus Woznicki ( born August 17, 1894 in Miners Mill, Pennsylvania, † December 10, 1968 ) was a Roman Catholic bishop.

Woznicki SS Cyril & Methodius visited the College, the seminary in Orchard Lake, Michigan, and the Seminary of St. Paul Seminary in Saint Paul, Minnesota. His ordination took place on 22 December 1917 in the local Cathedral of Saint Paul. Then Woznicki was working as a priest in the Archdiocese of Detroit.

On 13 December 1937 he was instituted by Pope Pius XI. appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Detroit and Titular Bishop of Peltae. On January 25, 1938 he donated the Archbishop of Detroit, Edward Aloysius Mooney, episcopal ordination. Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Marquette, Joseph Casimir Plagens and the Coadjutor Bishop of Scranton, William Joseph Hafey.

On March 28, 1950 Woznicki was by Pope Pius XII. appointed as successor to the late William Francis Murphy Bishop of Saginaw. He held that post until his resignation on 30 October 1968. Instead, he has now Titular Bishop of Thiava. Woznicki died on 10 December of the same year.
