Sterling Holloway

Sterling Price Holloway, Jr. ( born January 4, 1905 in Cedartown, Georgia, USA, † November 22, 1992 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American actor and voice actor.

Career

After visiting the Georgia Military Academy Holloway went to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. In the 1920s, he was in the scope of the Garrick Gaieties to see in the theater. From 1926 Holloway played in numerous films including Blonde Venus, Gold Diggers of 1933 and a totally, totally insane world. Later he was seen in several television series, including Gilligan's Island and Daktari.

In 1941, Holloway has also worked as a spokesperson for the Disney studio. The Disney masterpieces in which he was heard to include Dumbo (as Master Stork), Bambi ( as an adult flower) and The Jungle Book (as Kaa, the snake ). In addition, he has long been the spokesman of Winnie the Pooh. In addition, Holloway appeared in many radio shows and radio plays.

Holloway died in 1992 after a cardiac arrest. His ashes were scattered in the Pacific.
