Steve Bozek

Steven Michael Bozek (* November 26, 1960 in Kelowna, British Columbia ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. During his career he played for the Los Angeles Kings, Calgary Flames, St. Louis Blues, Vancouver Canucks and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League.

Career

Bozek played with three years 1978-1981 at Northern Michigan University. There, the left-winger was elected in his last year in three selected teams. The previous year, he had been selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1980 by the Los Angeles Kings in the third round at 52nd place.

For the 1981/82 season Bozek then moved to the NHL and played two seasons for the Los Angeles Kings before, transferred him this in the summer of 1983 after a weak season for Bozek to the Calgary Flames. In Calgary, the Canadians remained for five years, but was then released in March 1988, together with Brett Hull of the St. Louis Blues. For the Blues Bozek played only seven games and has been for the next season 1988/89 sent to Vancouver. For the Canucks, he remained for three years before he signed a contract with the San Jose Sharks newly founded in the summer of 1991. After just one game year Bozek joined the HC Bolzano, where he end his career in the 1992/93 season.
