Steve Seymour
Andrew Stephen "Steve" Seymour ( born October 4, 1920 in New York City; † June 18, 1973 in Los Angeles ) was an American athlete who was successful in the years after the Second World War as a javelin thrower. He could win the American championship three times:
The 1947 scored length of 75.84 m and 248-10 correspond meant the American Record.
- Pan American Games 1951 in Buenos Aires: Silver with 67.08 meters behind the victorious Argentinean Ricardo Heber, who threw exactly one meter further
- Silver with 67.56 meters behind the Finnish Tapio Rautavaara ( gold with 69.77 meters ) and before Hungary József Várszegi ( bronze with 67.03 m)
At the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki, he was no longer at the start.
