Stradonice (Kladno District)

Stradonice ( German Stradonitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers north of Slany and belongs to Okres Kladno.

Geography

Stradonice is located in the Central Bohemian plateau in the valley of the creek Zlonicky. South of the village runs the railway line between Slany and Zlonice where is the nearest railway station in Palecek.

Neighboring towns are Páleč in the north, Vyšínek in the northeast, and Lisovice Zlonice in the east, in the southeast Dřínov, Královice in the south, and Neprobylice Třebíz the southwest, Palecek in the west and Vraný in the northwest.

History

Stradonice was first documented in 1318.

After the replacement of patrimonial Stradonice 1850 became an independent municipality in the district of Slany. Since 1961 the area has been acknowledged Okres Kladno. On January 1, 1980, the annexation took place after Zlonice. Since the beginning of 1992 Stradonice again forms a community.
