Stranger than Paradise is a film by Jim Jarmusch in 1984 with John Lurie, Eszter Balint, Richard Edson and Danny Rose.
Originally conceived and filmed as a 30- minute short film (1982 ), extended Jarmusch Stranger Than Paradise to a story in three chapters.
Action
The film tells in a quiet way, the really unspectacular experiences of the self-proclaimed " hipster " Willie from New York City, his Hungarian cousin Eva and Willie's friend Eddie. The partially existing absurdity of the plot is not artificial, but an expression of everyday history.
The first part of the film (The New World) is about the arrival of Eve in New York, the weeks in which she lives with her cousin, and her departure to Cleveland, where she wants to visit her aunt. In the second part ( One Year Later) visit Willie and Eddie there. In the third part ( Paradise ) travel the three together to Florida.
Criticism

Film Music
The film music was composed by lead actor John Lurie, who became known as a jazz musician and composer. Again and again be heard during the movie and the song " I Put A Spell On You" the blues musician Screamin 'Jay Hawkins.
