Stříbrnice (Uherské Hradiště District)

Stříbrnice ( German Strzibrnitz, also silver box ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 13 kilometers west of Uherské Hradiště and belongs to Okres Uherské Hradiště.

Geography

Stříbrnice located at the southern foot of the mountain Mars in Moravian Slovakia. The village lies in the valley of the creek Medlovický.

Neighboring towns are Smraďavka and Lázně Leopoldov in the north, and Tupesy Buchlovice in the northeast, Boršice in the east, in the southeast Tucapy, Vážany in the south, Újezdec the southwest, Medlovice in the west and Paseky in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village was carried out in 1128 in a document of the Olomouc Bishop Heinrich Zdik. The place had next to Lubná hunting justice in sovereign Wildbann forest and was therefore provided with the nickname " Lovecká obec " ( Hunter community). In Stříbrnice there were twelve hunting privileges that were entered in the Black Book of the right to hunt. Together with the Eastern Star of the surrounding villages were the twelve hunters from Stříbrnice at the Lowczowe prawo (hunting court ), the blood court at the castle Buchlov. The duties of the hunters was also reciprocally the true acquisition of constable service and executioner function in the city Uherské Hradiště, as well as the executions in Fryšták.

Among other things, to the privileges of the inhabitants of Stříbrnice included the gratuitous use of the grain mill and the exemption from the toll on the bridge in March Uherské Hradiště. With the abolition of hunting justice Stříbrnice lost his privileges in 1749.

After the abolition of patrimonial regimes was 1848, the municipality in the district Stříbrnice Hungarian Hradisch. Stříbrnice belongs to the Moravian wine varieties.
