The Stripsenjoch is a pass ( = yoke ) with a height of 1577 m above sea level. A., which forms the transition from Tame Emperor of the Wilder Kaiser. In addition, it marks the watershed between the Kaiser Bach in Emperor in the West ( Kufstein ) and the Kaiserbachtal in the east ( direction Kirchdorf iT ).

It has its name from the adjacent Stripsenjoch Stripsenkopf (1807 m). The Stripsenkopf is also the same as the local mountain of Stripsenjochhauses, a hut of the Austrian Alpine Club.

The Stripsenjoch you reach the easiest to walk in a 1 ½ hour hike, which starts from the Griesner pasture at 989 m. If you want to avoid the toll road, and right of Griesenau rise (727 m ), the walk is extended to 3 hours. Coming from Kufstein (500 m) one needs good 4 ½ hours.
