In the valley is a town of Ebbs, Kufstein, which until 2007 was no road connection. The other, southern side of the valley without permanent colonization of the town of Kufstein.

Since 1963, the Valley is part of the nature reserve Kaiser Mountains.

Geography

The Kaisertal runs from Kufstein in the lower Inn valley eastward, separating the Wilder Kaiser mountains in the south of Tame Emperor in the north.

In the gorge ( Sparchenklamm ) on the valley floor Kaiserbach ( Sparchenbach ), which flows into the Inn in the north of Kufstein flows. Towards the end of the valley towards the valley widens slightly, and it branches off the bear valley from the north-east, which already belongs to the municipality Walchsee. The Kaisertal itself runs against the Stripsenjoch that separates the Wilder Kaiser from Feldbergzug, and changes in the Kirchdorferfeld Kaiserbachtal.

The settlement Kaisertal

The village lies on the southern slopes of the Kaisertal Tame Emperor and has about 30 inhabitants. It includes several beautiful wilderness farms ( Pfandlhof, Veitenhof, Hinterkaiser ), which were partially converted into inns. Village church is the Anthony Chapel.

For Ebbs village area also includes the Alpine inn Ritzaualm above the village, the huts Hans -Berger - house, Stripsenjochhaus and Vorderkaiserfelden field hut, and the pastures Hofinger Alm, Bödenalm, Ramstalalm the place, the Hechleitalm valley, the Stripsenalm at the eastern end of the valley and the Rogeralm and Hinterkaiserfeldenalm up to tame Emperor.

To the territory of the town Kufstein Kaisertal include the thicket chapel across the valley and the Alpengasthaus Anton- Karg- house.

Road network

The Kaisertal was by 1 June 2008 to just walk away. The most commonly used access led by Eichelwang ( at Ebbs ) counted over 285 steps to the imperial ascent to the valley. The Kaisertal was the last inhabited valley in Austria without access to the public road system. Motor vehicles for the transport in Emperor were transported either by helicopter or (if necessary broken down into component parts) about the Emperor ascent. For years, improvements in access to Kaisertal were discussed, including the construction of an inclined lift or an improved form of existing ropeway from Kufstein was discussed.

The road was only adopted on the variant tests and years of negotiations, the municipality Ebbs with the city of Kufstein (largest landowner in Emperor ). Kufstein and the Alpine clubs spoke due to the nature reserve in Emperor's long against the road and had the imperial thalers offered to expand the existing cable car to the Kaisertal so that you could carry with it without problems vehicles. This was rejected by the community Ebbs.

With the construction of a road from Ebbs by a 800 meter-long tunnel to Kaisertal started in 2006 ( the first sod on May 19, 2006). To address the concerns of conservationists bill, the road is accessible ( with key barriers ) only for local residents, businesses and emergency vehicles. On 10 March 2007, the breakthrough of the tunnel was in the Kaiser. The expansion work of the tunnel as well as the afferent roads were completed in the fall of 2007, in the valley began work on a sewage system. On 31 May 2008, the tunnel was opened. Uses it may however be only by a small group of traffic beneficiaries have been in Emperor's why now, despite road links nor proportionate to meet a few vehicles.
