Stu Block

Stuart " Stu " block (* November 26, 1977 ) is a Canadian metal singer and member of the band Into Eternity and Iced Earth.

Biography

After he had sung at the high school in a cover band songs of U2 and later Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, began to block his musical career in 1998 in various rock and metal bands from the area around Vancouver. In 2005 he joined the band Into Eternity and went with her on tour. For the band, he moved from Vancouver to Regina in the province of Saskatchewan and worked in logistics and marketing industry. With Into Eternity he took in subsequent years on two studio albums. Beginning of 2011 was introduced as the new singer of Iced Earth and succeeds Matthew Barlow block. The first Iced Earth album with his participation, Dystopia, was released on 14 October 2011. Worked to block ten songs of the album with band founder Jon Schaffer together, developed vocal melodies and wrote lyrics.

Style

As a designated block influences among others, the singer Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford, Matthew Barlow, Tim Owens, Devin Townsend, Jari Mäenpää, George Fisher, Russell Allen and Jorn country. His vocal style on the new Iced Earth album Dystopia is complex and recalls in the middle pitches to his predecessor Matthew Barlow, while his higher screams to Rob Halford and Tim Owens remember.
