Studnice (Náchod District)

Studnice ( German Studnitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers west of Náchod and belongs to Okres Náchod.

Geography

Studnice is on the left side of the river Upa in the Giant Mountains foothills, near the river Olešnice. To the south, the mountain rises Ovčácký Kopec ( 384 m). East of the village takes you past the railway line Jaroměř - Trutnov; The next stations are in Starkoč and Resetova Lhota. Southwest is the battlefield of the Battle of Skalitz and behind the dam Rozkoš.

Neighbor sites are Na Pastvišti in the north, Resetova Lhota and Lhotky in the northeast, Lhotecký Dvůr and Kramolna in the east, Vysokov and Starkoč the southeast, Dubensky Dvůr and Kleny in the south, Zblov and Zlíč the southwest, Kozlar in the west and Žernov and Třtice in the northwest.

History

Studnice was first mentioned in 1438 as the seat by Jan Straka of Nedabylice documented. The voltage applied to a Vorwerkshof scattered settlements joined at three sites along the way according to a Nachod festivals. The farmyard of the festivals was parceled out according to their extinction and partly cultivated. The Straka of Nedabylice stay until the 17th century owner of the place. 1638 the goods of Straka were drafted in Studnice.

In 1672 Studnice has been connected to the rule Náchod and belonged to her until 1683. In 1729 the town was again slammed Náchod and 1742 separated again. 1785 came to the village again Náchod and remained there until the abolition of patrimonial regimes in 1848.

1849 Studnice formed a district of the municipality in the district Nove Mesto nad Kleny Metují. 1880 was the independent municipality Studnice with the districts Starkoč and Zblov. Starkoč dissolved going on in 1900 and formed his own church. In the same year the community came to the district Náchod.

With the beginning of 1961 Bakov, Resetova Lhota and Třtice were incorporated. On March 1, 1990 came from the town of the district Náchod Starkoč and by the community Žernov the district Všeliby to the municipality Studnice added.

The community Studnice consists of the districts Bakov ( Bakov ) Resetova Lhota ( Lhota Studnitz ) Starkoč ( Starkotsch ) Studnice ( Studnitz ) Třtice ( Rohrbusch ) Všeliby ( Liebstatt ) and Zblov ( Sblow ) and the settlement Na Pastvišti.
