Sturle Holseter

Sturle Holseter (born 9 April 1976) is a former Norwegian ski jumper.

His first World Cup competition Holseter denied on March 17, 1990 season finale at Raufoss. In the end it was enough in jumping on the normal hill but only for 76th place. A year later, he once again denied that the season finale, however, was also in this year in the competition in Trondheim, Oslo and Planica unlucky. He put four years thereafter a break from competition and only started on 8 February 1995 in the World Cup again. When jumping in Lillehammer, he was able to jump the first time with a 16th place finish in the points. At the start of the World Cup season 1995/96 he could jump with the 6th place in Lillehammer for the first time in the top 10 in the first jump. This should also be the best finish in the individual competition in his international career for over a year. At the national level, he was with the team in 1996 in Meldal Norwegian champion. It was only on 18 January 1997, he jumped in Sapporo with the 2nd place on the podium for the first time at a World Cup individual competition. It was his only podium place he could achieve in his career. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1997 in Trondheim he was in the individual competition on the normal hill 15 Shortly after the World Cup he won in the Norwegian Championship in Mo i Rana bronze medal on the normal hill. In the World Cup he could subsequently still achieve respectable results within the top 20, but top places or even the podium were denied him. After a mediocre season 1997/1998 he finished after jumping on 29 November 1998, the opening event for the 1998/99 season in Lillehammer its active Skispringerkarriere.
