Štvrtok ( until 1927 slovak also " Štvrtek "; Hungarian Vágcsütörtök - to 1907 Csütörtök ) is a municipality in the north- west of Slovakia with 349 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2011) and belongs to Okres Trenčín, a part of the Trenčín Region.

Geography

The municipality located 17 kilometers southwest of Trencin away, on a slope of the White Carpathians on the right side of the middle Považie.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1398 as Chetertekhel writing.
