Subaru Tecnica International
Subaru Tecnica International Inc. ( STi ) was established on April 2, 1988 by Fuji Heavy Industries in Mitaka. Fuji equipped its newest subsidiary with an initial capital of 50 million yen, which was still increased in the same year on November 2 by a further 150 million yen to 200 million yen total.
STI has three tasks:
- To plan motor sport activities of Subaru
- Development and manufacture of tuning parts for sale
- Alignment of training courses for auto mechanics
STi was known primarily for its activities in the World Rally Championship ( WRC). First with the Subaru RX Turbo in the group A, then later in the group N with the Subaru Legacy and the Subaru Impreza.
Furthermore, be made the WRX STi variants as well as a very vast number of special versions for Subaru since 1994. Similarly, the vehicles of the brand flashes have been developed from the STi.
