Suck It and See is the fourth studio album by British indie rock band Arctic Monkeys. It was released on June 3, 2011 at the indie label Domino Records.

Creation and publication

Work on the new album started in early 2010 as the frontman Alex Turner started to write the songs. The recordings began in the winter of 2010 and lasted until early 2011. The recordings were not made ​​for the first time in England. Instead, they chose the Sound City Studios in Los Angeles as a shooting place. As a producer James Ford was elected, who has worked as a producer on Favourite Worst Nightmare for the Arctic Monkeys.

7 March 2011 appeared with Brick by Brick, the first video for the new album, three days later first details on the album were released. A short time later, said Matt Helders, Brick by Brick that will not be the first single. On April 16, appeared with Do not Sit Down ' Cause I've Moved Your Chair, the first single, initially only as a limited edition of 1000 vinyl editions. In larger edition, the single was released then on 30 May 2011. The single reached number 28 in the UK singles chart and was able to keep there nine weeks. On 30 May 2011 the album was published in advance on the online platform SoundCloud. The album itself was released on June 3, 2011 in Germany, on June 6, 2011 in the UK and one day later in the United States. In the UK, the album was immediately able to enter at No. 1 on the album charts.
