Sueo ÅŒe

Ōe Sueo ( born August 2, 1914 in Maizuru, † December 24, 1941 before Luzon ) was a Japanese athlete Korean descent who was successful as a pole vaulter in the mid- 1930s. Since Korea was then assumed as provincial Chosen the Japanese General Government, he had to start for Japan and use the Japanese spelling of his name.

Ōe won three international medals:

During his racing career he studied at Keio University.

Ōe Sueo succumbed to his injuries at the Japanese attack on Luzon. The attending surgeon was his older brother.
