Å urianky

Šurianky ( until 1948 slovak " Šuránky " - until the 19th century, " Malé Šurany "; Hungarian Surányka - Suránka to 1907 ) is a Slovak parish in Okres Nitra and in Nitriansky kraj with 603 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2011).

Geography

The municipality is located in the hill country Nitrianska pahorkatina ( part of the Danube 's hill country ) by the stream Perkovský creek. The 10.4 km ² municipal area is covered and deforested by black and brown soils. The center is located at an altitude of 160 m nm and is 17 kilometers away from Nitra.

Administratively divided the community in community Perkovce parts and Šurianky.

History

Šurianky was first mentioned in writing in 1265 as Suran and belonged to the estate of the castle as well as the bishopric Neutra Neutra. Furthermore, had families as Ocskay, Erdődy and Jesenský shares. 1787 were counted 30 houses and 198 inhabitants in 1828 46 houses and 321 inhabitants. In 1909 the place Perkovce (Hungarian Nemesperk ) was incorporated.

Until 1918, belonged to the lying in the county Neutra place the Kingdom of Hungary and came after Czechoslovakia or Slovakia today.

Population

According to the 2011 census lived in Šurianky 598 inhabitants, of whom 577 Slovaks, two Hungarians and a Czech. 18 inhabitants did not respond. 541 residents pleaded with the Roman Catholic Church, the Evangelical Church of the eleven residents and one population to evangelistic church, the Old Catholic Church and the Baptists; a resident was other denomination. 20 residents were non-denominational and 22 inhabitants, the denomination is not determined.
