Surmiran dialect
Surmiran ( German also: Surmeirisch ) is a font Romansh dialect and is spoken in the stone above and in parts of the Albula valley in the canton of Grisons. The region is also called Surmeir.
Local distribution
Surmiran spoken in the Albula valleys and Above stone. The surmeirische language belongs to the Sutsilvan language to the central Grisons dialects. The term Surmeir (literally: if the wall ) refers to the rock wall Moir, the most difficult obstacle on the way through the Schynschlucht gorge between Scharans and Alvaschein and always border between Domleschg and Albula valley.
