Susanne Schuster

Susanne Schuster ( born May 9, 1963 in Bietigheim ) is a former German swimmer who competed for the Federal Republic of Germany. She won an Olympic medal in 1984.

Susanne Schuster swam for the SV Bietigheim. In 1978, she won two silver medals in the 100 meters freestyle and 400-meter freestyle at the European Youth Championships. In the swimming world championships in Berlin in 1978, she joined over 400 meters of freestyle, but missed a 17 just the B-final. In 1981, she occupied at the European Championships in Split eighth place on 200 -meter freestyle; the West German 4 x 100 meter freestyle relay in the cast Marion Aizpors, Karin Seick, Ute Neubert and Susanne Schuster won silver behind the relay from the GDR.

At the European Championships 1983 in Rome Schuster took over 100 meters freestyle in seventh place. The squadron won the decision DDR season before the Dutch women, were third Karin Seick, Susanne Schuster, Iris Zscherpe and Ina Beyermann. Schuster also swam at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles about 100 meters freestyle to seventh place. The relay race won by the U.S. women before the Dutch women, received the bronze medal Iris Zscherpe, Susanne Schuster, Christiane Pielke and Karin Seick. In the same cast, the squadron reached in 1985 at the European Championships in Sofia in second place behind the GDR season.

1986 and 1987, Susan Shaw won the German championship in the 100 meters butterfly. At the European Championships in 1987 in Strasbourg, she therefore entered in the medley relay, in the occupation of Svenja simplicity, Britta Dahm, Susan Shaw and Christiane Pielke won the bronze medal behind the squadron of the GDR season and the Italians.
