Suzanne Gabriello

Suzanne Gabriello, pseudonym of Suzanne Galopet ( born January 24, 1932 in Paris; † August 9, 1992 in Paris ) was a French singer and actress.

Life

Suzanne Gabriello, known as Zizou, was the daughter of French actor and comedian André Gabriello (actually André Galopet ). which they followed into show business. In 1955, she was equally presenter, storyteller and singer, and formed with two other daughters of famous comedians, Françoise Dorin and Pierrette Souplex, the trio Les Filles à Papa.

At a conference organized by Jacques Canetti tour, she met the Belgian cabaret singer Jacques Brel, with whom she though he was already married, in the next five years a passionate love affair together with numerous separations and reconciliations Association. In her role as presenter of the Paris Olympia she campaigned for Brel's appearance in the music hall, and said to him in one of his early concerts themselves. According to her, Brel wrote his famous song Ne me quitte pas for her and sang it to her in the presence of friends before. Brel the later disagreed, however, and called the song simply called " the story of an asshole and loser. It has nothing to do with any woman. "

Gabriello specialized in the comic song and parodies. So they parodied among other Georges Brassens, Enrico Macias, Jean Ferrat, Guy Mardel and Nino Ferrer. Later she moved to acting and starred in eight feature films. She married twice: with director Guy Lauzin they had a daughter with the singer Michel Dubaile a son and a daughter.
