Svein Engen

Svein Engen ( born March 27, 1953 in Hønefoss ) is a former Norwegian biathlete.

Svein Engen started as Active for Ringerike. He played his first international championship at the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck in 1976, where he worked with Kjell Hovda, Terje Hanssen and Tor Svendsberget was fifth of 20 Single Page and in the relay race. The following year, Engen took in Vingrom part in the World Championships and finished ninth and 19th of the Single Page the sprint. In relay races he missed with gate Svendsberget, Roar Nilsen and Sigleif Johansen in fourth place just a medal. In 1978 he was in Hochfilzen 26 of the Single Page, 1979 in Ruhpolding tenth of the sprint. In 1980 Engen in Lake Placid for the second time at the Winter Olympics. In the sprint he missed in fourth place against Eberhard Rösch, as well as with Kjell Sobak, Odd Lirhus and Sigleif Johansen as a starter for the season against the West German selection just a medal. In 1981, he took in Lahti again at world championships and was 24th of the sprint.

National won Engen 1977, 1978 and 1983, the singles title in 1977 in the sprint and the relay. Further, he was runner-up three times and five times he won bronze medals.
