Sweden men's national floorball team

The Swedish national floorball Sweden presented at international matches and international tournaments in the sport of floorball (also known as floorball ). With a previously won six World Championships, the team is considered the best in the world. In the tournaments in 2008 and 2010, but they had each defeated Finland in the final.

History

Along with Finland and Switzerland is considered Sweden as country of birth of floorball. In 1981, founded the National Federation, the year after the first championship was played. The Swedish men's national team played on September 28, 1985 in Sollentuna against Finland the first international match at all. Sweden won the match by 13:1 and gave the Finnish national team until today (December 2010) the highest international match defeat. 1994, the first European Championship was held, who won Sweden. The world title won by Sweden in 1996 to 2006 inclusive six times in a row. 2008 and 2010, the team was runner-up behind each Finland.

In Sweden, some 120 000 male and female players are registered.
