Botkyrka Municipality

Botkyrka is a municipality (in Swedish kommun ) in the Swedish Stockholm County and the historic province of Södermanland. The main town of the municipality is Tumba.

Economy

In Botkyrka about 4,000 companies employ approximately 20,000 jobs. The largest employer with about 5,800 employees, the community itself, the unemployment rate is given as 4.6%.

Of the 30,700 housing units in the municipality are about 20,000 flats and 10,700 single-family homes.

Policy

Politically, the community is dominated by social democratic. There is a local party that Botkyrkapartiet.
