Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Mananthavady

The Eparchy of Mananthavady (Latin: Eparchia Manantoddiensis ) is an eparchy of the united with the Roman Catholic Church Syro - Malabar Church, based in Mananthavady in India.

History

Pope Paul VI. she founded the Apostolic Constitution Quanta gloria on March 1, 1973, cessions of territory of the Eparchy of Tellicherry, it was the Archdiocese of Ernakulam- Angamaly assumed as suffragan.

On December 4, 1975, she was part of the territory of the Eparchy of Tellicherry and was on 18 May 1995 part of the ecclesiastical province of archeparchy Tellicherry.

A part of the territory it lost on 29 August 1997 at the eparchy Bhadravathi and 15 January 2010 a further part of the Eparchy of Mandya.
