Tabernaemontana is a diverse, widespread in tropical genus of the family of the dogbane family ( Apocynaceae ).

Description

In Tabernaemontana species are small trees or shrubs that reach heights of growth of mostly 2-8 meters. They all lead a white milky sap.

The leaves are petiolate against permanent. The glossy dark green leaf blade is linear, ovate or elliptic with a smooth margin. Stipules absent.
