Rauvolfioideae
Karanda - plum ( Carissa edulis)
The Rauvolfioideae are a subfamily in the plant family of the dogbane family ( Apocynaceae ).
Description
The mostly opposite arranged leaves are simple. The hermaphrodite flowers are fünfzählig. The five petals are fused Roehrig. It's just a circle with five contiguous stamens present. The pollen grains are Porat. The two carpels are free ( apokarp ) or fused ( synkarp ). Are formed berries, stone fruits or follicles.
System
The first use for the grouping of the family - even as " Rauwolfieae " - was made in 1834 by Franz Vincenz Kosteletzky. The subfamily Rauvolfioideae is divided into ten tribes with 79 genera:
